Overview
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a nationwide organization composed of a student body that promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Its purpose is to develop leadership in students and expose them to the different career opportunities available in the STEM field. TSA members are from about 2000 schools in 49 states across the country, and are a population of diverse individuals with different backgrounds and interests. The organization runs a wide range of competitions, including architecture, fashion, and robotics.

What is the club all about?
The Technology Student Association Club serves as a gathering place for students interested in various aspects of technology such as Architecture, Fashion, Design, Coding, Engineering, Photography, and more! Students interact and expand their knowledge and skills while preparing to compete at the TSA High School Conference held each Spring. While the club has historically consisted of fashion and architecture teams, it was recently expanded to support participants in any event. Regardless of your interest
Meetings
TSA Meets most Tuesdays in rooms C100 and B105 (except on half days)
For the most part, members work on their projects for the State conference at meetings. However, you are welcome to pursue any technology-related interest or project you would like!
How to join
Stop by one of our meetings, or shoot us an email! If you're excited to be here, we're excited to have you.

Activities
Robotics
While building a robot may sound very much like it may only be for individuals with specific technical abilities, the truth is that the real success stories come from highly motivated teams with varying talents. This is a very rigorous program that requires tremendous dedication and several thousands of hours outside of school including weekends, breaks, and days off. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communication, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels; local champions go on to compete against the best in the world at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April!
XSTEM
X-Stem club gives South Brunswick High School Students opportunities to use their creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. There is a two-fold focus:
- Students prepare to participate in different competitions such as Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams, Real World Design Challenges, Google, Siemens, and Intel Science Fairs.
- Students serve as ambassadors for STEM fields and serve as mentors to both elementary and middle school students.
